Join Us to celebrate our tradition

Chef Juan Pablo Valverde will bring a rich tradition to Cheyenne.
In Ecuador, “guaguas de pan” (bread figures) and “colada morada” (traditional purple drink) form a deeply symbolic pairing that honors departed loved ones. The bread represents the body, while the purple drink symbolizes the blood.

Mentor Mary Whalen will present the exhibition from the kite-making workshop held with the community.
In Guatemala, the Kite Celebration involves communities flying enormous, vibrantly colored kites to honor deceased relatives.
